In December 2025, we released a 25th. Anniversary digital single of "Kathy's Song", and we promised that it would be followed up by physical releases.

Here's the first one out of the gate, a 4-track 12 inch vinyl with remixes from Mental Overdrive, Zone Tripper and Frak, as well as the original version from 2000.

As part of the 25 year anniversary for "Kathy's Song (Come Lie Next To Me)", one of the most iconic and successful songs in the APOP catalogue, sees a "Kathy's Song XXV" EP out on digital platforms now with remixes from: Zone Tripper and Mental Overdrive, as well as a fresh 2025 remake by Ferry Corsten!

Fairlight Children, Chinese Detectives and Piston Damp via Emmo.biz Records!

There's a lot of reissues and/or first time on vinyl releases coming, and here's a little list for you of things to check out!

Emmo.biz Records will be releasing the APOP side-project, Fairlight Children - "808bit" from 2004 on picture disc vinyl on the 17th. May 2025. On the very same day, the Chinese Detectives - "Are Kisses Out Of Fashion?" album from 1999 by old-school APOP-member Per Aksel Lundgreen is being released on vinyl for the very first time, also on Emmo.biz Records.

On the same label, the latest Piston Damp (Jonas Groth and Truls Sønsterud) album, "Mastermind Vol. 1..." is out already on both CD and LP, so if you're placing an order there, and you need this too, there's money to be saved on shipping by ordering two, or even all three, releases at the same time! :)

New Apoptygma Berzerk Remix out in collaboration with kinGeorg!

On the 24th. January there's a brand new Apoptygma Berzerk remix out in collaboration with kinGeorg, and it is a Norwegian remake of the David Bowie classic "Heroes" in Norwegian, "Helter".

On the single there's also a remix from Norwegian legendary electro- and new-wave genious, Beranek, included.

Stephan Groth co-produces the new Piston Damp single!

Piston Damp are set to release their 4th single from their coming sophomore album on 1st August, and it is entitled "Hard To Love You".

The track has been co-produced by Stephan Groth, and Ted Skogmann (APOP's drummer) has been helping out with percussion parts and beat production on the single as well!

It is a very 80's track, looking back to the songwriting of Vince Clarke and ABBA, and is bound to give a lot of electropopfans nostalgic feelings about their youth!

Stephan Groth co-produces new Echo Image single!

Echo Image returns once again, with a 4th. single in their "comeback run", entitled "Madsong". Also this one co-produced by Stephan Groth, and released on Stephan's label, Pitch Black Drive.

Piston Damp to play E-Only Festival in Leipzig 16th. March

Jonas Groth, keyboarder in Apoptygma Berzerk and Stephan's younger brother, is going to Leipzig to play at E-Only Festival 16th. March, together with his Piston Damp partner, Truls Sønsterud.

Other bands in the line-up are: Torul, Emmon, Terence Fixmer, Sono, Strikkland, Placebo Effect, Mildreda, Tyske Ludder and Autodafeh among others, and there's also a Friday night pre-party!

If you're an APOP fan, seeing Piston Damp live should be right up your alley, and we hope that you show up to give the guys some support!

APOP remixes debut solo-single from ex-OOMPH! singer!

The ex-OOMPH! singer, Dero Goi, has launched his solo career with a 4 track EP, called "Clickbait".

Apart from the "Clickbait (Video Version)" which is the single version of the track, the EP also includes an Apoptygma Berzerk Remix of the title track.

The Dero Goi - "Clicbait" EP is out now on all digital platforms and streaming services, including Bandcamp!

Piston Damp to play In Darkness Festival in Duisburg 03/06/23

Piston Damp, which is the band of Jonas Groth, APOP keyboarder and Stephan's brother, and Truls Sønsterud, are playing In Darkness Festival in Duisburg, Germany on Saturday the 3rd. June.

They are performing together with Alienare, Stimmgewalt, System Noire and Antibody

This should be a great event for any APOP fan, both musically, and to support Jonas and Truls in their German escapades!

At this years Wave Gothic Treffen, Piston Damp, the band of Jonas Groth and Truls Sønsterud, will play at Moritzbastei 20:00!

Stephan L. Groth to co-produce new Echo Image single!

On the 17th. June, the brand new Echo Image single "Of Truth" will be released on all digital platforms and streaming services, including Bandcamp!

The single is written by Pål-Magnus Rybom, who as always sings and plays keyboards, but co-producing and also playing keyboards on the single are Stephan L. Groth and Einar K. Five.

This will be the follow-up to the highly successful "Mono No Aware" single and "Walk My Mind", which makes this single number 3 from the forthcoming album that has been promised.

Kids In Crime TV Series Wins "GullRuten"

Kenneth Karlstad, the director of the TV Series "Kids In Crime" where APOP have 10 tracks on the soundtrack in Season 1 in the first 8 Episodes, won the prestigious award of "Best Direction for a TV show" at the Norwegian "Gullruten" awards!

Brother Jonas Groth remixes Beborn Beton!

Stephan's brother and keyboarder in APOP, Jonas Groth, has had great success with his synthpop project, Piston Damp, together with childhood friend, Truls Sønsterud.

Recently they have remixed a track of long-time APOP friends, Beborn Beton! The track is the single "Dancer In The Dark", and it is available on the 2xCD version of the new album, "Darkness Falls Again", and now digitally on the brand new EP, "Burning Gasoline".

Preorder "Xenogenesis"

Finally the third vinyl of the exclusive trilogy is ready for preorder. "Xenogenesis" will be released as 12″ vinyl in a limited run of only 500 copies on July 15th 2016.

The first 200 copies, on green vinyl and available here, will contain an exclusive poster and an exclusive black flexi disc 7" with a brand new alternative version of "Until The End Of The World". 300 other copies will be released on clear vinyl, with the flexi disc released on clear vinyl (availablehere).

APOP releases new EP on vinyl!

After the recent vinyl masterpiece "Stop Feeding The Beast", APOP releases a new EP on vinyl named "Videodrome".
There's a limited run of 500 copies and only 100 copies in black vinyl will be available with a slipmat. 400 copies in blue vinyl will be available for purchase exclusively through the emmo.biz website starting April 28th.
