For the first time in five years APOP will go on tour in North America. In September APOP will play 15 shows in the US, Canada, and for the first time ever: Mexico!
"It’s been quite a while since the last time, and I am very much looking forward to touring and for the first time ever playing songs from You and Me Against the World and the Rocket Science album for the American audience" says Stephan Groth, who assures us that also older material will be played live, "I consider this tour rather a greatest hits tour than a continuation of the Rocket Science tour".
Like many of you already know, the line-up of the band is going to change: "Angel, Geir, Fredrik and I decided a few months ago to take a break from Apop. Playing in Apop has been extremely time consuming for all of us the last many years, and we all felt it was about time to do other stuff, at least for the rest of 2009."
"I am grateful for their devotional commitment, their friendship, their great work, and the innumerable concerts I had the honour to play with them.” says Stephan, and adds "We are all still good friends... I’m sure we’ll be working together again on future projects, but right now we all need all our time and energy to focus on our own careers"

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Apoptygma Berzerk will embark on the great journey this September - a great journey which will encompass 14 headlining shows throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico with a huge tour kick off on September 1st 2009 in Washington DC! The tour includes special guests and each show will be an exciting experience for both old and new fans of Apoptygma Berzerk.

It may have been quiet some time, but of course we’re still here! After our label GUN Records unfortunately closed down in February on Friday 13th (!) we had to rearrange our plans which took longer than we had expected.
But after APOP have found a new home at Columbia records, you may - or may not? - have already heard there’s a new single coming up! Now guess which one it’s going to be…?
